Company Profile: Ministry of Railway's (Railway Board) vide their letter No.E(NG)-II/96/RR-1/62 dated 18-07-05 delegated powers for Recruitment to Group D post to General Managers.In pursuance to this Railway Recruitment Cell was opened in Eastern Railway.Railway Recruitment Cell is entrusted with the responsibility to make recruitment to all Group D posts on Eastern Railway and other units in it's jurisdiction.In the light of announcement made by Honourable Minister for Railways in his Budget (Railway) Speech for 2005-2006 and in accordance with the instructions issued by Ministry of Railways (Railway Board), Railway Recruitment Cell has been formed for recruitment of Group D staff in Railways.Railway Recruitment Cell is headed by a Deputy Chief Personnel Officer/Recruitment, who is assisted by an Assistant Personnel Officer/Recruitment and 10 staff in Group C.
