It possessed a strength of six RAF-trained officers and 19 Havai Sepoys (literally, air soldiers). The aircraft inventory comprised of four Westland Wapiti IIA army co-operation biplanes at Drigh Road as the "A" Flight nucleus of the planned No.1 (Army Co- operation) Squadron.

Job Description
Designation : Senior Non-Commissioned Officer
Eligibility : Max age limit is 22years. Candidates should completed his/her education qualification for the Senior Non-Commissioned Officer post is Graduate (Arts/ Commerce/ Science)/ MA in English/ MSc (Mathematics/ Physics/ Computer Science)/ MCA/ B Ed degree/ 2years teaching experience.
Salary : Salary/ Stipend in Indian Air Force for (IAF) the Senior Non-Commissioned Officer post of during Training will be Stipend is Rs.8,550/- After Training will be Salary is Rs.24,568/-.
