The Windows Store team at the IDC brings to life core features for Developer Onboarding, Store Management, Analytics and Application Certification for the brand new Windows Application Store. This team has a history of building scalable services for the Windows Division. You can see some of our work demoed at the //BUILD conference.

We are looking for talented and highly-motivated individuals for Program Manager positions to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused, agile and collaborative environment. The candidates should bring in a high level of strategic focus and business awareness to our technical collaborations and be capable of diving down to any level of technical depth required of the situation. We expect you to represent the voice and needs of our customers and partners while executing on our engagement strategy throughout Windows product cycles and be able to combine the business and technical acumen to make insightful recommendations.

As a PM in Windows Store you will engage with various Windows Component teams in driving scenarios and features end to end. You will participate in the planning, design, spec'ing, and shipping of features. You will collaborate with UX designers, researchers, developers, testers, marketers, and product planners. This position provides high visibility and the unique opportunity to positively impact the experience of millions of customers.

Position Responsibilities:
Write great specifications and impact Windows Store software design
Deliver features end to end including ideating, scoping, planning, designing, spec’ing, documenting, and releasing
Drive cross-team agreement on scenario goals, metrics, and workflows for a release
Customer engagement during various phases of the release
Drive various deployment related engagements with customers (internal and external)


Ideal candidate profile:
Cross-organizational partnering skills and solid technical depth
Great problem solving skills and high intellectual horsepower
Technically smart, logical and able to learn new areas quickly
Strong passion for enabling simplicity in end to end scenarios
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience in working with services, web technologies would be a plus
Experience with UI design & development would be a plus
B.Tech/M.Tech in computer science or related field, followed by MBA
5+ years of software engineering experience
