ENGLISH VOCAB-1


1) ABET (verb)= To help or encourage somebody to do something wrong.

SYNONYMS :-assist,collaborate,aid ,help

USAGE :- Abetting a crime is like giving a knief to a murderer


2) MAGNATE (noun) = A wealthy and influential person, usually  bussinessmen.

  SYNONYMS :- tycoon
 
    USAGE :- The delegation of bussiness magnates called on the cheif-minister.



3) ABIDE (verb) = Follow , even though you might not like it.

   SYNONYMS :-  tolerate ,bear ,stand, endure, sccept, cope with
 
   ANTONYMS :- fade,disappear.

  USAGE :- One should abide by the rules of the land.


4) OBLIGATE (verb) = to be obliged to do something out of respect.

   SYNONYMS :-  oblige,compel,commit,bind, require,impel,constrain

   USAGE :- The new rule obligates people to pay more taxes.
