Company Profile : The Punjab Agricultural University was established in 1962 to serve the state of erstwhile Punjab. On trifurcation of Punjab in November 1966, Haryana Agricultural University was carved out of PAU by an Act of Parliament in February 1970. Later, in July 1970, Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidalya was established. In 2006 the College of Veterinary Science was upgraded to become Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Science University (GADVASU) at Ludhiana. The Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) is located in Ludhiana city (Punjab State) in north-west India at a distance of 316 km from New Delhi. It is well connected by road and rail with the national capital. Situated on the Ludhiana - Ferozepur Road, the University covers an area of 1510 acres on its main campus and 4615 acres at the regional research stations.

Punjab Agricultural University Recruitment Notification 2013 For Assistant Microbiologist. Applications are invited for the post of Assistant Microbiologist in Punjab Agricultural University.
Designation :
1) Assistant Microbiologist
2) Junior Microscopist
Qualification :
1) Bachelor degree in Science ,Master’s degree in Microbiology ,Atleast second division at Bachelor’s level and 65% marks or OCPA or 6.50 out of 10.00 at Master’s level.Must have qualified National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by ASRB/UGC/CSIR with one publication in NAAS rated refereed journal and equivalent.
2) B.E. /B. Tech. in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering/ Electrical Engineering at least with second division with knowledge of imaging techniques and instruments.Knowledge of Punjabi up to Matric.10+2 at least second division with 3 years Diploma in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering/ Electrical Engineering and 5 years experience of Electron, Scanning probe, Force Microscopy and other imaging techniques.
