Manpower has increased by 4.5 fold during the period of I to X plan and the plan-budget by 163.3 folds during the period of II to X plan. Apart from the headquarters at Shimla, CPRI at present has 7 research stations including CPRI campus at Modipuram located between 11 and 32o N latitudes, 75 and 910 E longitudes, and 53–2501 m altitude, covering wide range of agro-climates in the country.

Central Potato Research Institute Recruitment Notification 2013 For Senior Research Fellow. Application are invited for the Posts of Senior Research Fellow, Research Fellow in Central Potato Research Institute.
Designation : Senior Research Fellow
Qualification : Master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Application with First Division or 60% marks or equivalent grade points average form a recognized university. Desirable: Work experience in Digitization and Computerization of Libraries especially with Library management software (s) and digital library software, relevant open standards and protocols and /or in any international standards in machine readable catalogue. i.e. MARC, Resources sharing protocol like Z.39.50 etc. Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Salary : 16,000/-
