About ANEW : Association for Non-traditional Employment for Women (www.anewindia.org) is an NGO working to empower underprivileged women in the age group of 18 – 35 by providing them free training and placement in non-traditional skills. It helps in providing economic independence by equipping underprivileged women with employability skills in formal job sector is their mission.
Their computer programs are run in partnership with Mahindra Sathyam Foundation. The NGO trains women who have completed high school in basic computer applications like Tally and DTP. ANEW also has a special batch for hearing/speech impaired women to be trained in computer skills. Their trainees have been placed in corporates like Polaris, RRDonnelley and Newgen software. ANEW constantly innovates and evolves its courses according to the market trends, to reach out to a wider section of underprivileged women belonging to the lower rung of the social ladder.
About Internship: – Intern will be organizing, coordinating and conducting a 4 week training program for under-privileged girls in Soft Skills and Computers.
Eligibility : Any graduate / undergraduate with knowledge of basic computer applications and good communication skills ( English & Tamil) can apply.
Location : Chennai
Duration: - Minimum of 1 month.
Start dates: - April 2012
